IF-K: Veritable tool towards addressing infrastructural deficiency – Kwara Speaker

The Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Dr. Ali Ahmad, said the state Infrastructural Development Fund (IF-K) is a good concept, towards addressing the infrastructural needs of the citizens.
The Speaker, made the observation, in Ilorin, while clarifying the position of the House, on the Concept of IF-K by the present administration, in respect of the deplorable Asa Dam road, especially, the bridge area that caused a car to plunge into the river.
Dr. Ahmad, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Abdul Rahman Sanni, explained that the road in question, which came under deliberation of the House, was not within the projects of the IF- K.
He explained that though members, during the debate on the road, made allusion to IF- K, it was not part of the resolutions of the Parliament.
It would be recalled that the Parliament, had last Wednesday, while, considering the deplorable condition of Asa Dam road in Ilorin, agreed that if the state Ministry of Works and Transport failed to rehabilitate the road, especially, the bridge area, the House, will not hesitate to take further legislative action.
