Name person I stopped you from investigating, Jonathan challenges Waziri

Former president, Goodluck Jonathan has challenged former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Farida Waziri to provide more details on the allegation that she was sacked by his administration because of probe of a suspect involved in oil subsidy scam.
Farida, had recently told newsmen that she was grateful for her sack by Jonathan given the ongoing revelations about corruption that took place under his administration.
“My first strong premonition of what was ahead was when I began the probe of the monumental oil subsidy fraud going on then.”
“I came to Lagos on a vital intelligence on the subsidy scam and as soon as I arrested a key culprit, I got a call from the Presidential Villa asking me to release the suspect, because, in their words, ‘he is our person’, but I refused to let him off and days after, I was removed from office,” Waziri was quoted to have said.
Waziri added that if she has not been sacked by the ex-President, she would have been traumatised by now, given the ongoing revelation of alleged grand corruption that took place under the last administration.
But reacting to the claim by the former EFCC boss, the former president on his verified twitter handle, @GEJonthan yesterday said if the former EFCC boss is not lying, she should mention the name of the person or company she was stopped from investigating, so that the anti-graft agency can take over.
While noting that there is no statue bar in investigation of crimes, Jonathan said failure of Waziri to give the particulars will indicate that she was hired to ‘attack him’.
