The ex-factional chairman of Kwara State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Iyiola Oyedepo has said he has not withdrawn the suit filed to challenge the dissolution of the party in the state.

Oyedepo-led faction of the PDP has employed Femi Falana (SAN) to challenge the dissolution of the Kwara State executives by the Senator Ahmed Makarfi-led National Caretaker Committee.

But, following the reconciliation of the two factions of the party in the state, Oyedepo told National Pilot that he is not convinced to withdraw the matter from court for now.

“As for the case before the court over the dissolution of Kwara State PDP excos, I don’t know if we are going to withdraw it, that is the issue now. When the need arise on whether or not to withdraw it, I believe it’s a bridge and we will cross it over,” he said

The onetime Kwara State House of Assembly member also expressed readiness of the party to partake in the forthcoming local government poll saying plans are in the pipeline to dislodge the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).

He added that the caretaker committee will resume work this week and that sales of forms will begin in earnest.

“As for the forthcoming Local Government poll, we are participating fully and the sales of form will likely begin this week once the executives appointed to oversee the affairs of the party begins work this week,” he added.

Also, a reliable source who begged not to have his name in print told Pilot Politics yesterday night that the chairman and the Secretary of the committee will arrive Kwara on Monday stating that preparation for the poll will kick start officially.

The source added that the committee will start the sales of forms of the LG poll on Tuesday.
