Fidau for Sheikh Alabere holds, Saturday
The fidau for Sheikh Ibraheem Hanafi Alabere will hold on Saturday, at the deceased’s Pakata residence in lorin, the Kwara State capital.
According to a statement made available by the family, the fidau will take place 10am prompt.
The deceased, who was a former principal of Bukola Ansarul Islam High School, Budo Are, died on Tuesday, aged 65. He was buried same day with Imam Imale, Sheikh Abdulhameed Abdullahi, leading other notable Imams clerics to officiate the janaza (burial service).
Born in 1952, the deceased had his early education at Centre for Arabic and Islamic studies, Oke-Agodi, Ilorin in 1966-68 before proceeding to Markaz Agege in 1969. He worked briefly at Radio Nigeria as a translator and later travelled to Algeria, Egypt and Saudi Arabia between 1977-1983 for further studies.
He had his National Youth Service in Ogun State in 1983-84 and joined the Kwara State Teaching Service Commission in 1984 before retiring as a Principal in 2008.
