The newly promoted Professional Football League side, Kwara United Football Club have been charged to strive to sustain the winning tempo as the apex League commence this month.
The state Director of Sports, Coach Tunde Kazeem gave the charge last week in Ilorin while receiving members of the newly elected Kwara United Football Supporters Club in his office.
Coach Kazeem stated that the Team performed wonderfully well last season in the lower league that earned them promotion to the apex league calling on the people to continue to support and pray for the success of the Harmony boys.
The Director thanked Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed for his support and encouragement? urging the State government to sustain the gesture for the Club to excel.
He also called for support from corporate organisations and individuals ?as government alone could not shoulder the responsibility.
Coach Kazeem urged members of the Supporters ?Club and all stakeholders to rally round the Team to succeed in the task ahead.
The Director pledged the support of the Council and the State government to the Club charging the Harmony Boys to strive to win continental ticket for the State.
Also speaking, the Former Special Assistant to the Governor on Sports, Bashorun Kayode Bankole commended the team for gaining promotion to the Premier League calling on all stakeholders to support the Team.
Earlier, the Chairman of the Supporters Club, Alfa Moshood Imam Gambari solicited for the support of the Sports Council and all stakeholders in achieving the needed target in the League.
Alfa Gambari stated that the Supporters Club would continue to pray for the success of the Team beginning with the Super Four this weekend in Lagos.
