Kwara Falcons partway with Coach Owolo

The Management of Kwara Falcons Basketball Club, Ilorin has announced that the club has parted ways with Coach Aderemi Adewunmi along with his assistants after deciding not to renew his contract.
The management under the leadership of Dr. Joseph Adeyemo said it’s in the best interest of both parties to put an end to the relationship in order to allow the coach concentrate on his national team assignment.
“We would like to thank Aderemi Adewumi for all he has achieved for the Club over the last four years, notably in guiding us to two successive semi-finals in the Nigeria basketball Premier League, and we wish him every success for the future”, the club said.
Aderemi Adewunmi, a former first bank female basketball team handler joined Kwara falcons on a temporary basis in 2014 before signing a permanent contract in 2015 but has been involved with the national team, most recently he was part of D’Tigers technical crew that won silver at the Afro basketball championship last year.
The club chairman, Dr. Joseph Adeyemo while speaking through the secretary, Bello Azeez assured the team faithfuls of the management’s resolve to find a suitable replacement.
“We’ve already started the search for a new coach by conducting interviews for a number of selected candidates and will announce the appointment of a new coach in the nearest future”: said the club.
