2017: KWASAA rakes in N44m –GM
The General Manager of Kwara State Signage Advertising Agency (KWASAA), Hameed Olufadi has declared that the agency generated a total sum of N44 million in 2017.
He made the disclosure in an exclusive interview with Pilot Business in Ilorin on Friday, saying that it is a marked improvement over what was realised in the previous year.
The GM said: “Despite the economic recession, we were able to make a headway generating a total sum of N44 million in 2017 which is higher than the N35 million raked in 2016.
“We have made increase and strengthening our strategies to boost revenue generation in the state,” the agency boss added.
On budget for 2018, Olufadi said the agency has a target of N120 million for the 2018 finances and strategising on how to achieve it.
“We have a budget estimate of N120 million despite the fact that it is an electioneering year, we are putting in place plans to be able to achieve voluntary compliance by our clients.
“We are also trying to establish a monitoring and compliance unit for quality assurance and interface with our clients,” he explained.
The GM further explained that smaller business units would be captured and roads medians used for advertisement to generate more revenue for the state government.
He said, “We are strategising on how to woo more media practitioners to the state as there are lots of business activities coming into the state and the population is growing.”
The agency boss then appealed to clients to comply by paying for their signage voluntarily, promising that KWASAA would deploy measures that will make payment easier for them.
Olufadi assured that the agency would disallow singages with messages that are injurious to the public and sanction appropriately individuals or corporate bodies that violated rules and regulations of KWASAA.
He therefore warned politicians against displaying offensive messages that could cause incitement or chaos within the polity.
