District heads sue for peace in Ilorin

Residents of 13 communities in Ogidi ward, Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara State have been charged to eschew bitterness and allow peace and unity reign among them for more development to be attained.
The Magaji of Ogidi ward, Alhaji Salihu Amosa Ajape gave the charge when he paid a familiarisation visit to communities under his domain at the weekend.
The Magaji, while addressing residents of Alalubosa community in Alore emphasised the need for residents of Ogidi ward to always allow peace, unity and love be their guiding principle in their daily affairs. He noted that no meaningful development could be attained in an atmosphere of chaos, rancour and acrimony.
He advised them to always employ dialogue and other peaceful ways in settling differences that might arouse between them instead of taking law into their hands.
Alhaji Ajape pledged to make the familiarisation visit to all the 13 communities in Ogidi ward regular in order to identify issues affecting the residents for urgent attention.
Responding on behalf of the communities, Alhaji Amosa Okolo, Alhaji Baba Oloka and Alhaji Garuba Elekoyangan from Alalubosa, Alore and Guniyan in that order pledged to cooperate with the Magaji towards ensuring peace reign supreme in all communities that made up the ward.
Recall that Alhaji Ajape was turbaned the 10th Magaji Ogidi ward by the Emir of llorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari in September 2016.
