Suspected cultist kill one in Ilorin

There was tension among residents of Ode Alfa Nda area, Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara State as some unidentified suspected cultists, unleashed terror on a cobbler simply identified as Olatunji on Friday.
This medium learnt that, the deceased was a successful cobbler who sold his shoes to neighbouring African countries and boutiques in the state and beyond.
It was gathered that, Olatunji was in his shop when the four man gang stormed the area in a car.
According to a source, who does not want his identity revealed, the suspects on arrival at the area, shot severally and sporadically at the victim who reported deflected the bullets.
“In an attempt to escape from the scene, he was given a kick on the leg from the back and he fell.  They began to beat him mercilessly hitting brick on his head until he could breathe no more. Before leaving the scene the perpetrators removed the two eyes of Olatunji,” the source disclosed.
The remains of the deceased was evacuated and immediately buried at the Muslim Cemetery, Ilorin,
immediately the suspects left the crime scene.
Olatunji, who is married with a daughter from the union according to another source, is a member of a rival secret cult and was said to have engaged in the killing of another suspected cultist in Offa,  a day to his death.
When contacted, spokesperson of the Kwara State Police Command, DSP Ajayi Okasanmi debunked the claim saying policemen were deployed to the area following a tip off but “residents of the area claimed nothing of such happened.”
