Newspaper of the Year: N’ Pilot’ll rule the world, says Kwara NLC

Almost two weeks after National Pilot was decorated with the award of Newspaper of the Year by the Kwara State Internal Revenue Service (KWIRS), the Nigeria Labour Congress(NLC), Kwara State chapter has joined the league of organisations to have commended the medium on its latest accomplishment.
In a letter personally signed by the Chairman, Comrade Yekini Agunbiade and titled; Congratulatory message, the NLC prayed for wisdom and strength for the medium to rule the world in news dissemination.
The NLC further described the award as befitting adding that the newspaper is known for balanced reportage and prompt dissemination of news.
Part of the statement reads; “The Congress believes in your wealth of experience in the balance dissemination of news which prompt your paper being selected as the Newspaper of the Year.
“As we in the labour movement rejoice with you, kindly accept our happiness and hand of fellowship towards achieving and sustenance of more honour in the state and Nigeria generally.
“On behalf of the entire workers of the state, we congratulate you. While assuring you of our unflinching support, we pray Almighty God will guard, guide and give you the wisdom, strength and courage needed to rule the world in the area of news dissemination.”
The NLC boss however urged the medium not to rest on its oars.
In the same vein, the newly elected National President of Oro Ago Development Union (ODU), Engr. Olatunji Kadri applauded the management and staff of National Pilot for the Newspaper of the Year award describing it as apt and deserving.
Kadri who stated on Tuesday said he had always known the medium for its objectivity in reportage.
According to him, the award by KWIRS is well deserved, urging the newspaper to do more in order for more honours to come its way.
