Iwobi braves heavy snow for City tie
Alex Iwobi and his Arsenal team-mates took to training on Wednesday morning amidst heavy snow ahead of their Premier League showdown at the Emirates stadium.
According to a club statement, “There was snowfall at the training ground on Wednesday morning, but that didn’t stop the first-team squad from preparing for Thursday’s Premier League match against Manchester City.”
Snow has been falling all over the United Kingdom this week, and the Emirates had their fair share of it in north London as the club woke up on Wednesday morning to discover a perfect winter scene at the stadium.
City plan to travel down for the crunch Premier League clash tomorrow morning, putting the fixture at risk due to the travel problems.
And Storm Emma left the Emirates frozen over today, adding to fan’s fears the match could be postponed.
The UK is set to be gripped by the worst of the weather today, Thursday, leading to questions as to why City are leaving it so late to head to London.
It is understood Pep Guardiola’s side are not worried about missing the match, which would lead to an automatic Arsenal win.
