Ramat Cup: Gata dedicates MVP award to ABS FC

 

Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS) Ilorin FC kid sensation, Mubaraq Gata has emerged the Most Valuable Player of the just concluded 37th edition of the Ramat Cup.
Kano State U-16 team won the Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON) organised competition, courtesy of a 2-1 victory against their Lagos counterparts in the final match, decided at the Sani Abacha stadium, while Kwara state won bronze.
Kwara coach, Sam Elijah was picked as the Best Coach of the tournament, while Gata Mubaraq was picked as the Most Valuable Player.
The 14-year old Gata is a younger brother to Ismaila Gata of Kwara United and Adeshina Gata of Akwa United FC.
The left footed youngster, who dazzled in the youth competition, would be fondly remembered for his trade mark goal against Zamfara team, when he dribbled from his own half to score a goal. He dedicated the victory to ABS FC.
‘I am delighted to play in this competition, and to make a mark.
‘I am also delighted to have the gong handed over to me by the Governor of the state, Dr Abddullahi Umar Ganduje.
‘I want to dedicate the victory to my club, ABS FC, for believing in me, and giving me the platform to exhibit my talent’, he said.
