Trade fair to transform Kwara economy – KWACCIMA boss

The proposed 7th Kwara Trade fair slated for March this year is no doubt expected to boost and stimulate the economy vibrancy of the state.
The President of Kwara chamber of commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (KWACCIMA), Dr. Ahmed Adeoye Raji made this disclosure to Pilot Business shortly after the official inauguration of sub-committee members for the 7th Kwara Trade Fair last Thursday at KWACCIMA House, Ilorin.
“…trade fair is designed to promote trade and Industry as well as enhancing businesses of our members and non-members alike. The essence of the project slated for 26th March this year is to boost the economy of the state as people from all walks of life will be taking part in buying and selling while industrialist business men and women will from all over Nigeria participate and showcase their products for economic emancipation.
“The arrays of distinguished committee members inaugurated were carefully selected having considered their pedigree, discipline, character and transparency,” the president stressed.
He further appreciated the Kwara State government for providing enabling environment for the 7th Kwara Trade Fair towards its success.
“Let me pay glowing tribute to Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed, for granting us permission to use the baseball Park Adewole for the trade fair project, and also for approving permanent site along Eiyenkorin-Ogbomoso road for subsequent hosting of the fair.” Adeoye said.
This singular gesture from the Governor according to Adeoye shows the determination and commitment of Kwara State government to the improvement and development of commerce and industry in the state.”
He charged all the inaugurated committees to meet regularly became the venue of the trade fair (the baseball park, Adewole) will be ready by next week as secretariat of all sub-committees for easy operation before and during the trade fair.
In the same vein, the chairman Publicity Committee for the commission, Nurudeen Raji disclosed that N5 Million has been earmarked for the media coverage of the event.
“We have projected a random cost of about N5 million on media coverage alone, all media outfits in Kwara state will be contacted for full coverage of activities at the events”.
“We have engaged the services of media houses to monitor the slots budgeted to ensure adequate coverage so as to ensure value for money concept”.
