38 Kwara referees pass fitness test

 

Nigerian referees have been overlooked for international competitions in recent times
No fewer than 37 referees from Kwara State Referee Council passed the 2018 Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), fitness test.
The race, which took place, last week in Kano State work well for the state referees who stormed the city of commerce in large numbers and did the state proud.
With this feat, the 38 referees are qualified to officiate in National, Women, as well as Nationwide League in 2018 season.
In a chat with one of the Coordinators of the state Council, Mr. Onifade Emmanuel Olusegun ascribed their success in the contest to adequate preparation before the test.
“It wasn’t easy at all but we gave God all the glory for the successful outing of the race. I want to believe that we did well in preparation and others really worked for us during the race,” he said.
He thanked the state government for making available a 32 seater coaster bus that conveyed them to the venue of the programme.
Pilot Sports can confirm that no fewer than five of them failed the fitness test in 2016/17 season.
The exercise that was organised by Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is a criterion to qualify them for National, Women and Amateur League.
