KWASU Ekiti campus for completion, October, says Gov Ahmed

Kwara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed has assured residents of the state that the satellite campus of the Kwara State University (KWASU) in Ekiti Local Government would be completed for academic activities in October, this year.
Ahmed who gave the assurance, yesterday, during the inspection of the project expressed satisfaction with the quality of work done so far even as he enjoined the contractor and consultant handling the project to sustain the tempo.
According to him, the establishment of the campus would further open opportunities to students seeking admission into the institution.
While conducting the Governor round the site, the consultant in-charge of the project, Arch. Tunji Oyedepo explained that the project is 35 per cent completed and would be delivered on schedule.
He appreciated the governor for the prompt release of fund, saying that the contractor had no reason to delay the project due to funding.
Governor Ahmed also inspected Oke-Opin Township road in Ekiti Local Government, Ipetu-Rore-Arandun road and Aran-Orin Township road in Irepodun Local Government Area where he said the quality of work were in consonance with funds released for the respective projects.
He however directed the immediate rehabilitation of Oke-Opin/Epe-Opin Community Bridge to control erosion in the area.
According to the governor, “The Infrastructure Development Fund (IFK) established by this government has made funding of our projects much easier.
“I’m very impressed with the quality of work done and I can assure everyone that all the projects will be taken to completion by this government.”
Meanwhile, Ahmed pledged that no part of the state would be left out in the provision of infrastructure.
