Six men armed with sophisticated weapons attacked a group of construction workers at Kwara State University (KWASU), Ekiti campus site at the weekend.
The incident, which occurred on Friday was as a result of land dispute between two warring villages, Osi and Itsare.
However, the construction workers who planned to carry out a reprisal attack on the villagers were stopped by the police who were on ground to restore peace.
One of the victims, simply identified as Gabriel, who was stabbed at the chest is said to be receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital in Osi.
A similar incident was said to have happened on the site, almost two weeks ago.
When contacted, the state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP , Ajayi Okasanmi said he is unaware of any such incident as it has not been reported at any police station.
