Belawu Ajoke wins 4th MSS Idi-Ori inter- house competition
Belawu Ajoke House (Green House) emerged the champion of the 4th biennial inter-house competition of Principal Muslim Model Secondary School, Idi-Ori, Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, last Wednesday.
Sheikh Kamaldeen House (Blue House) placed second while School House (Yellow House) and Agbojulogun House (Red House) emerged third and fourth respectively.
In his remarks, the Acting Principal of the school, Agbetola Abdulhakeem said, in pursuit of academic excellence and all-round developments, the management set aside ample time for sports and other extra-curricular activities in the school academic calendar.
“Here at Muslim Model Secondary School, we intensify efforts to developing our students morally by giving them sound Islamic education; mentally, by giving them a qualitative and functional western education and physically, by engaging them in various sporting activities that promote peace, love and unity as the Holy Quran preaches.
“At Muslim Model Secondary School, our watchword is faith, knowledge and righteous, thus, let us embrace peace, love and unity all through,” he said.
He however added that the construction of basketball and volley ball courts being embarked upon by the Proprietor, Justice Mutalib Ambali (Rtd) and the Proprietress, Dr(Mrs) Funmilayo Ambali
would be completed before the commencement of the next session.
Among the events competed at the inter-house competition which lasted two weeks is athletics, table tennis, sack race, egg race and long jump.
