Lenten: Participate in fasting for blessings, Christians advised
Christians have been urged to continue to intercede for Nigeria given the magnitude of sin being committed in the country.
Deaconess Juliana Elijah in her sermon during the thanksgiving service on Sunday, submitted that it is by the mercy of God that the nation has not been destroyed.
Speaking on the theme “Grateful Heart,” she said the Almighty God has been dealing with the nation in His mercy and kindness, praying that Nigeria shall never experience His wrath.
She, therefore, implored Christians to pray fervently for the nation and leaders so as to continue to enjoy the goodness of God.
Elijah, however, urged faithful to give thanks to God at all times regardless of the situation, saying that God inhabits praises of His people.
The minister encouraged believers to show gratitude to God in the face of challenges, stressings the wonders of giving thanks to the creator.
She said in spite of the current economic situation in the country, Christians should praise God, urging them to always put their trust in Him.
According to her, praise has the power to invite God’s presence, glory, His favour, healing, access to revelation, and breakthroughs and fresh anointing.
She urged the congregations to avoid complaining when faced with challenges, but rather learn to praise God at all times.
