KWSG committed to human capital devt, says Sarat Adebayo

Chairman, Kwara State Local Government Service Commission, Hajia Sarat Adebayo has reiterated the commitment of the ruling administration to have vibrant and informed human capital to drive the economic transformation of the state even as she noted that training is key in today’s civil service.
Hajia Adebayo disclosed this on Wednesday in Ilorin during a two-day training workshop on capacity building for sustainable growth in revenue generation at the local government level held at the state library complex, Ilorin.
According to him, the training programme was one of the fulfilments of cardinal objectives of the present administration on human capacity development for a better service delivery, adding that it will enhance sustainable growth in revenue generation at the local government level with increased agitation for local government autonomy.
Hajia Adebayo thanked Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed for the drive to have a better civil service and the release of training fund despite the paucity of resources.
She said the workshop is meant to broaden and sharpen the knowledge of officer saddled with the responsibility of revenue generation with necessary techniques to ensure effective and efficient revenue generation.
She said the participants were carefully selected to address the revenue base of the local government areas especially in Agriculture.
Present at the occasion include the Kwara State Accountant General, Alhaji Suleiman Oluwadare Ishola, Director General, Bureau of MSME, Segun Soweru among other resource persons.
