Chairman Kwara caucus at the House of Representatives, Zakari Muhammed and Senator Ahmed Muhammed have allegedly hold peace meeting in Ilorin to work together for the coming election in the state.
Both individuals have reportedly been working at different page over political disagreement in the local government.
It was gathered that the meeting which was brokered by an Ilorin based businessman, Alhaji AbdulKareem Sanni, was held at his GRA residence, Flower Garden area, Ilorin few weeks back.
According to a source who was privy to the issue but craved anonymity, the peace meeting was attended by the rep member and Senator Ahmed.
Others that were said to be president at the meeting include one Barrister Jenyo, Alfa Onilemarun, Alhaji Umaru Alaro and Alhaji Abdul Kareem Sanni
It was learnt that at end of the meeting, both individuals pledged their commitment to work in harmony as one family.
The source said “Senator Ahmed said he had no personal issues with the lawmaker and also promised to be a father to all.
Meanwhile, it was further gathered that the second leg of the meeting has been scheduled to come up very soon which will have the Senate President, Bukola Saraki to interact with the stakeholders in the local government
In a telephone interview with National Pilot, Senator Ahmed refused to comment on the matter adding that there was no feud between the two of them.
“We are not fighting, thank you”, he responded and ended that call.
