2019: KWSG charges NOA, others on public sensitization

 

The Kwara State Government has again urged the National Orientation Agency NOA and other relevant organisations to continue to play active role in sensitising Nigerians ahead of the 2019 general elections.
The state Deputy Governor, Elder Peter Kisira gave the charge on Friday while receiving in his office the Director General of the National Orientation Agency (NOA) in Ilorin.
Elder Kisira noted that Kwara State is strategically located and shared international boundary with five Countries hence the need to mobilise and educate Nigerians to be alive to their responsibilities.
The Deputy Governor explained that the present administration had performed creditably well in improving the economy and other aspects of the nation.
He stated that the NOA had done well in the discharge of its duties in the state, urging the organisation not to relent in this regards.
Elder Kisira pledged the State government support to the Agency especially the provision of vehicle and other logistics.
Earlier, the NOA Director General, Dr Garba Abari highlighted the activities and programmes of the Agency which include propagation of government programmes and policies as well as the sensitisation of Nigerians to their civic duties.
Abari said the agency would continue to work in partnership with the state government and other agencies calling for support to achieve its target and mandate.
The Director General who x-rayed the achievements of the FG called on the people to ensure a hitch-free elections in 2019 while Politicians should make their campaign issue based to ensure a strong and prosperous Nation.
He described the state as relatively peaceful and commended the NOA for doing wonderfully well.
