At least three persons lost their lives and many others injured after an electric pole, yesterday, fell on a commercial bus (widely known as Danfo) in Lagos.
The accident reportedly happened between Ilasa and Itire area of the state.
It was gathered that the timely intervention of policemen from Ilasa and Itire Divisions, officials of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), as well as fire fighters prevented the situation from escalating.
“Many persons were injured and 3 persons dead. The accident was caused by a pole, which fell on a moving commercial vehicle. Our policemen are on ground,” a police officer, who was part of the rescue team told newsmen at the scene.
Meanwhile, a text message to the General Manager of Lagos State Emergency Agency (LASEMA), Adesina Tiamiyu, was not replied as at the time of this report.
