Senior civil servants President, Kaigama, tasks govts on salary, promotion, others 

 

…as Kwara elects new exco

President of the Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria (ASCSN), Comrade Bobboi Bala Kaigama has called on all tiers of government to prioritise salary payment, workers’ promotion, and security of lives and property for peaceful co-existence of the people.
He made the disclosure during the 2nd Quadrennial Delegates Conference of ASCSN at Kwara State Library, Ilorin, on Tuesday.
Comrade Kaigama, who is also the President of Trade Union Congress (TUC), said,” This auspicious occasion underscores the constitutional demand that members of the association should come together periodically to elect officers who will direct the affairs of the branch.
“By the time you enter the business session to elect your leaders, I enjoin you to put the destiny of members in the hands of those who will consolidate the structure and make the platform more formidable to continue to preserve, protect and advance the interest of our members throughout the state and beyond.”
He however urged the newly elected executives to embark on inclusive tenure by giving priority to the demands of civil servants in the state and defending them before the new administration.
The Kwara State Controller of Labour, Alhaji Suleiman Yusuf who represented the Minister of Labour expressed satisfaction with the matured conduct of the state civil servants while calling on them to maintain the zeal by embracing dialogue as the way forward towards achieving better enumeration.
In her remarks, the Kwara State Head of Service, Mrs. Susan Modupe Oluwole lauded the approach of the association even as she urged the new executives to sustain the same spirit as government will continue to ensure prompt salary payment, pension and gratuity.
Similarly, the former Chairman of the association in the state, Comrade Nasir Kolawole Olumoh appealed to the new administration to prioritise the welfare of workers.
Those elected for Kwara ASCSN branch are; Comrade Mrs. Idowu Grace Folashade, Chairman, Comrade Ifawoye Sunday Kayode Vice Chairman I, Alhaji Ajape Suleiman, Vice Chairman II,  Oyawoye Rhoda Olajumoke, Treasurer and others.
Those elected for the chapter in the Federal Civil Service include; Chairman, Comrade Adedokun Adeniyi Nuremi, Vice Chairman, Akano Saheed Oladimeji, Treasurer, Orodiran Michael Bola, State Auditor, Comrade Iseyin Samuel, and Ex-Officio, Zulu Toyin Suleiman.
