NAMA building ready for commissioning – KWSG

The Kwara State Government has said that the newly built administrative block of the Nigeria Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) will be commissioned soon.
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works and Transport, Alhaji Yusuf Garuba Manjo made the disclosure during a telephone interview with Pilot Aviation on Saturday.
He said, ” We have completed the NAMA building and it is ready for commissioning. The state government constructed the building, which belongs to a Federal Government agency to facilitate its operations in the state.
“The project is sponsored through the IF-K funds and it will be commissioned as part of the achievements recorded by Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed during his seventh year anniversary next month.
On the amount expended on the project, Manjo said he could not avail our reporter with the information because he didn’t have the figure at the time of filing this report.
The permanent secretary, however, called on members of the public to support the administration of Governor Ahmed in its bid at ensuring that the dividends of democracy is enjoyed by all and sundry.
Meanwhile, the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has commenced the installation of Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras at airports’ airsides.
The airports are the Murtala Muhammed Airport (MMA), Lagos and the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport (NAIA)in Abuja .
The General Manager , Corporate Communications of FAAN , Henrietta Yakubu, disclosed this in Lagos.
She said the project, which is presently 85 to 90 per cent completed, is to enhance the security of lives and property, as well as taxing aircraft at the airports .
Yakubu said the installation is the first phase, and would later move to Kano, Port Harcourt and Enugu airports .
