Airport/Egbejila/Asa Dam road ready in Sept – KWSG

The Kwara State Government has assured the general public that the ongoing construction of Airport/Egbejila/Asa Dam road will be completed in September.
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works and Transport, Alhaji Yusuf Garuba Manjo made the disclosure during an exclusive interview with this medium on Tuesday.
He said, “I have just spoken with the contractor handling the project and he explained that they have constructed another two kilometres drainage from the bridge axis to Egbejila junction.
“They will begin laying of another two kilometres asphalt to terminate at Egbejila village before the end of this month.
“The whole construction of the road from Asa Dam axis to Airport/Egbejila junction will be completed by September this year.
Manjo added that the contract is being funded under the Infrastructure Funding IF-K scheme of the state government.
He however urged residents of the area to cooperate with the contractor handling the project in order to ensure speedy completion of the work.
Manjo called on people of the state to support Governor Ahmed’s administration in its drive to improve   infrastructure in the state.
