The newly appointed Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) for Nasarawa State, Dr Usman Ajidagba has formally assumed duties in the state.
He resumed on Monday in Lafia, the state Capital.
Ajidagba who until his appointment was the Chairman, Kwara State Independent Electoral Commissioner (KWSIEC) was conducted round various offices and later held meetings with management staff of the commission.
He also inspected the resident of the Resident Electoral Commissioner that is under construction with the staff of the commission pledging their unalloyed support and loyalty to ensure the success of his assignment.
The new commissioner is expected to meet the leadership of some security agencies.
Ajidagba was nominated for the position of REC by President Muhammadu Buhari before he was confirmed by the senate.
