Ex-Nigeria star plotting move for Chelsea’s Luiz
French Ligue 1 side Monaco are keeping an eye on David Luiz’s situation at Chelsea and would be open to making an offer should he be put up for sale.
The Brazilian’s future will depend a lot on Antonio Conte and whether he remains at the club, with Luiz likely to want to leave if the former Juventus head coach remains in charge at Stamford Bridge.
The Brazilian would have a familiar face at Monaco as former Chelsea technical director Michael Emenalo is now in charge in a similar role at the Principality club.
Luiz and Conte fell out in October after the two Champions League group-stage games against Roma, which saw Chelsea ship six goals and only pick up a point from the two matches.
Luiz has played just 17 times this season having been dropped for Andreas Christensen, while he has also struggled with injury and needed regular treatment for a recurring knee problem.
