Buratai’s convoy intercepts gunmen robbing motorists
The convoy of Chief of Army Staff, Lt-Gen. Tukur Buratai, on Saturday intercepted four local armed robbers. Director, Army Public Relations,
Brigadier General, Texas Chukwu, made the announcement in a statement yesterday.
He noted that the robbers had blocked the Numan – Yola high way, robbing motorists and passengers of their belongings.
Items recovered include 3 dane guns, machetes, different kinds of charms.
“The suspects have been handed over to the Nigerian Police Force for further investigation and prosecution”, the statement added.
Meanwhile, Buratai has warned officers and men of the Nigerian Army against discussing their grievances or operational strategies on social media.
