Kwara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed has appealed to the Federal Government to haste up the completion of Kaiama/Kishi road in order to ease transport of farm produce to the market.
The Governor who made the appeal in Ilorin yesterday while receiving the Minister of State for Power, Works and Housing, Suleiman Hassan maintained that immediate completion of the road become imperative for the benefit of farmers and other citizens.
The Governor who spoke of his government’s resolve to continue to synergise with the FG, appealed to the Buhari-led government to hasten refund of the state government’s intervention on federal projects.
The Governor who promised to assist in compensating those affected by the Offa bye-pass road project, also assured that his government would make land available for the construction of federal housing unit in the state.
The Minister had earlier in his remarks praised the Governor for his efforts at providing at up scaling infrastructure development in the state.
He told the governor that they were in the state for the inspection of federal government projects in the North Central and expressed satisfaction over the level of work done on projects inspected so far.
