Recruitment: Police select 3,413 candidates for screening in Kwara

The Nigeria Police Commission has selected 3,413 candidates for screening in Kwara State in the ongoing recruitment exercise into the Nigeria Police Force.
The exercise took place in the state at the Police College, Muritala Muhammed way.
The Nigeria Police had earlier announced that, married, nursing mothers and over-aged candidates would not be allowed to take part in the screening exercise for new police constables into the force.
The state Commissioner of Police, Aminu Saleh who was represented by his Assistant, Peter Ogunyanwo said that anyone with tattoo on his or her body will be disqualified adding that the command will not recruit cultists as members into the force.
He said, “Persons with tattoos, marks and female candidates who have (just) undergone surgery will not be recruited into the Nigerian police,” he added.
Speaking at the screening exercise, leader of the delegation from the Federal Character Commission, Femi Ogunsola said the recruitment is not meant for married but single women adding that the commission had maintained fairness in the exercise.
“Some of the married women have been discovered and disqualified for the exercise including the over -aged candidates.
“Any candidate above 25 is not allowed for the screening. Physical aspect is being taken care of by the police and the screening aspect will be done by the Police Commission.
“The Police Commission delegation are here and also the JAMB officials for the exercise. Mathematics and English are compulsory including five credit at O’Level result,” he divulged.
