Amidst all the simplified glamour and modesty that can best describe the British Royal Wedding between Prince Harry and the new Duchess of Sussex, the cost of the wedding is being speculated to cost a whopping $40.1 million.
According to U.K. wedding site Bridebook, the cost of security, including snipers, undercover police and a counter-UAV system, will gulp about $40.1 million, or 94 per cent of the total wedding budget.
The ceremony proper is reportedly costing $2.7 Million with the bride’s dress, a Givenchy piece, is valued at $270,000. The bulk of the expenditure went on miscellaneous expenses like entertainment, wedding rings and the likes.
The royal family is expected to pay for most of the expenses of the wedding ceremony while the whooping security budget will be covered largely by the British public through taxes. Meghan also is expected to happily cover the cost of her beautiful wedding dress.
