The Kwara State Government has declared today Monday (today) and Tuesday as public holidays for the Children’s Day and Democracy Day celebrations.
The announcement was made yesterday by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Human and Capital Development, Hajia Maryam Garuba during the Children’s Day celebration at the Metropolitan Square, Asa Dam Road, Ilorin.
Hajia Garuba urged both private and public schools across Kwara State to comply with the directive adding that academic activities will resume on Wednesday in various schools.
She congratulated all the kids on the International Children Day celebration even as she enjoined them to pay serious attention to their studies in order to attain their lofty dreams.
