The lawmaker representing Odo-Ogun constituency in the Kwara State House of Assembly, -Hon Sikirat Anako has described the present political situation in the Saraki dynasty as a new phase in the politics of the state.
Anako while speaking with Pilot Politics after her meeting with members of her ward in Erin-Ile, Oyun Local Government advised the youth particularly to take advantage of the dynamic of the political situation in the state.
She said the programme was fallout of the meeting of stakeholders in Kwara South to unite the party members across the region for collective aspiration under the dependable structure of the Saraki dynasty.
On the plans in the pipeline for the women and youth, the two-time lawmaker noted that the goal is for supporters of the party to know that this is new era in Kwara politics and that the period of fighting is gone.
“We want them to be serious going forward and to fully engage them by providing them with relevant equipment and empowerment to match their skills and level of education. Nobody will be left out among the youth and women. We are going to set them up in whatever trade they specialise in.
“This will make them very focus and not even have the time to listen to politicians who will come to deceive them with ten thousand naira and false promises in a clandestine move to turn them to thugs.
She said the meeting, the third in the series, is a continuous one meant to address the challenges the youth and women are going through.
