A Christian Cleric, Pastor Christopher Jimoh of World Assembly, Ita Elepa has admonished parents to take good care of their children, saying they are for “signs and Wonders.
In his sermon on Sunday, he noted that Children if well brought up will bring succour to the world.
“Children are for signs and wonders and they have been designed to bring succour to the world, hence the need for parents to bring them up in the way of the Lord,” he stressed.
To buttress his point he quoted from the biblical scripture which reads: “Behold, I and the children whom the Lord hath given me are for signs and wonders in Israel from the Lord of hosts, which dwelleth in Mount Zion.”
According to him, children are designed with special ability to perform great and mighty things, urging parents whom he described as teachers to instill in their wards values that will make them know their worth and how to make the society better.
The cleric pointed out that because children have glorious future they become threat to and target for Satan.
“Devil is aware of the fact that children have glorious future, that’s why he tries to ensure they do not live. You hear of how kids died, devil knows if they are alive it will be dangerous for him. Parents must eadeavour to fortify their wards against all evil forces,” he further said.
