NPFL: Kwara Utd moves out of relegation, beat Ifeanyiubah in Ilorin
Kwara United FC moved out of relegation danger as they defeated Ifeanyiubah 1-0 in the Nigeria Professional Football League Match day 23 clash in Kwara Stadium on Sunday.
Chinedu Sunday’s 14th minute effort was all Kwara United needed to secure all three points against FC Ifeanyiubah in Ilorin.
Ifeanyiubah shocked the home team, as they put the ball at the back of the net in the third minutes but they were unlucky as the goal was ruled out for offside position.
Kwara United made several efforts to increase the tally in the first half but Segun Alebiosu missed several opportunities in front of goals.
The visitors came stronger in the second stanza, dominating the possession but the home side stood firm to maintain the score line.
With the result, Kwara United now 15 position on the log with 29 points.

The Promise Keepers who had Ayobami Asekunowo sent off for a second bookable offence in the first half, netted the winner 14 minutes from the end through Micheal Ibe who jabbed home Matthew Etim’s cross.
