NUJ begins Press Week, today

 

Arrangements have been concluded by the Nigeria Union of journalists (NUJ), Kwara State council to hold its 2018 Press Week programmes between Monday 18th and Tuesday 26th June, 2018.

The Kwara journalists’ annual Press Week, according to a statement jointly signed by the Chairman and Secretary of the Press Week Committee, Alhaji Sulaiman Aremu and Mr Fadeyi Babajide respectively, will be declared open today (Monday) with the inter-chapel table tennis competition.

Meanwhile, free eye tests for members of the union will hold tomorrow (Tuesday), to be conducted by members of the Opticalmological Society of Nigeria, Kwara State chapter beginning by 10am at the press centre while the Table Tennis finals holds at 4pm same venue.

The Media Parliament, according to the statement, holds on Wednesday where various personalities will be speaking on trending issues and proffering way forward to the country’s political and social economic challenges.

Lecture and commissioning of the NUJ Model School and Mosque will take place on Thursday, 21st of June by 10am prompt.

Endurance trek will hold 7am on Saturday while the event will climax with awards presentation on Tuesday 26th of June by 5pm, at NUJ Press Centre opposite St. Anthony Primary School, Offa road, Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.
