Phone dealer dies after hot chase by FSARS

 

A member of the Mobile Phone Dealers and Technician Association of Nigeria in Abeokuta, Ogun State has died after a hot chase by men of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS).

Thirty-eight year old Emmanuel Sunday Opeyemi, a.k.a. Awilo, died on Sunday of internal bleeding after hitting his chest against an iron gate during a chase by FSARS operatives.

It was gathered yesterday from family members and friends of the deceased that Opeyemi sustained injury when he hit his right rib on an iron gate during the chase.

Investigations revealed that Opeyemi was at skating ground around the post office in Abeokuta to buy food when he sighted men of FSARS and took to his heel like others.

According to reports, Opeyemi died as a result of the internal bleeding he suffered during the chase by the police officers.
