The Kwara State Commissioner for Works and Transport, Alhaji Aro Yahaya has reiterated state government’s commitment towards the completion of Ilesha Baruba-Gwanara road construction as stipulated. He gave the assurance during an interview while fielding questions from newsmen in his office on Friday.
The commissioner stressed that government is focused on completing the road project in order to further ease mobility of people in the area.
The commissioner added that the contractor has been ordered to speed up the pace of work and deliver the project to specifications.
Yahaya further assured that the state government under the leadership of Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed would ensure that none of the ongoing road projects in the state would be left abandoned at the expiration of the present administration.
He therefore urged the people of Ilesha Baruba and Gwanara and other communities in the area to exercise patience as the state government would not renege on its promise of ensuring prompt completion of all projects embarked upon in the state.
