With Saraki, Gov Ahmed, we’ll deliver Kwara in 2019 – Ex Minister, Abubakar

The former Minister of National Planning, Prof. Suleiman Abubakar has gave assurance that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) will deliver Kwara under the leadership of the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki and Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed.
Prof Abubakar made the disclosure during an interview with National Pilot at Ilorin International Airport shortly after his arrival on Friday.
According to him, “We are happy that our members who left our great party have realized and they are back to take the party structure to greater height.
“I believe that with the leadership of Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed and our combine efforts, PDP will deliver Kwara state come 2019 general elections”.
Earlier, the airport was shut down by mammoth crowd who came to receive the former minister who was among former PDP leaders that refused to decamp to the ruling party.
Party members and supporters stormed the airport donning various T-shirts in solidarity for the former minister.
This medium observed that the security apparatus was so tight at the airport to ensure maintenance of law and order.
Motorists and other road users had a hectic time on the Ilorin-Ogbomosho road as supporters lined both sides of the road with vehicles stretching for about five kilometers.
Meanwhile, former Kwara state Chairman of PDP, Barr. Iyiola Oyedepo who recently defected to the All Progressive Congress (APC) was a shadow of the former minster as a handful of crowd received him at the airport.
Speaking to journalists at the airport, Oyedepo assured the gathering that APC will unseat PDP in the state in 2019 general elections.
According to him they have the machinery and believed that the Independent National Electoral Commission will conduct a free and fair election in the state come 2019.
