A House of Representatives aspirant, Mallam Mustapha Olarewaju has urged Kwarans and residents of the state to support the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki in the 2019 general elections.
He added that Kwarans should not join forces with those he described as political detractors of the Saraki dynasty.
“I want to draw the attention of all Ilorin indigenes and Kwara State at large on the need for us to rally round our own (Saraki). We should not allow deliberate misinformation orchestrated by his political detractors to distort perception about him,” he stressed.
Olarewaju who is popularly called Babareke also charged the youths to participate actively in the 2019 elections adding that youths rarely occupy high profile positions in Nigeria.
He urged the youth to leverage on the Not-Too-Young-To-Run act to exhibit sense of responsibilities.
He maintained that the youth constitute significant proportion of the electorate in the country adding that they must not be used as wrong tools in the society but as agents of change.
“We youths owe ourselves the duty to always exhibit sense of responsibility that would portray us as being reliable and worthy of entrusting leadership roles upon.”
