NPFL gets September 2nd resumption

Followers, players and advocates can now heave a sigh of relief as the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) is set to resume on September 2.
With the crisis that rocked Nigerian football for weeks now a thing of the past, the League Management Company (LMC) has reportedly deemed it fit for the NPFL to return.
The league took a break because of the Super Eagles participation at the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
A crisis in the football polity further put it resumption on hold after the Super Eagles crashed out in the first round of the Mundial.
After more than a 10-week break, the league resumes on September 2 with 10 matches on the card.
Lobi Stars are top of the NPFL table with 43 points from 24 games.
