Saraki visits CAN, commiserates with the body of Christ over the demise of Bishop Olawoore

The immediate past President of the 8th Senate, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki CON, visited the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Kwara State branch over the painful demise of its chairman, Bishop Paul Olawoore.

Saraki, in a condolence message signed by his Press Officer on Local Matters, Abdulganiyu Abdulqadir, extended his deepest condolences to the Christian community and the Catholic Church over the passing of Bishop Paul Olawoore, the Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Kwara State.

“As we mourn the passing of Bishop Olawoore, we celebrate his life, which was dedicated to serving humanity, and we pray that the Almighty God grants his family and his congregation peace and solace at this difficult time”, he said.

Hon. Gbenga Makanjuola, the former Deputy Chief of Staff to Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, who led the delegation delivered a condolence message to CAN and the Body of Christ generally in Kwara State.

Hon. Makanjuola said, “Our leader, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, would have loved to be here today to commesirate in person with the CAN family on the loss of a great man who dedicated  his life to the service of his Maker. The President of the 8th Senate also prayed that God Almighty gives his family, CAN Kwara state Chapter, and all loved ones the fortutide to bear this great loss”.

Whilst receiving the Saraki’s delegation, the acting CAN Chairman, Bishop Adewole, commended Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki for identifying with the body of Christ even in this time of grief. He prayed God Almighty to guide him in his endeavours.

CAN on behalf of the Christian community in Kwara, also used the opportunity to thanked Dr Saraki for the Christmas gifts sent to Christian faithful during Christmas festivity.

Other members of the Saraki’s delegation include, Hon. Otunba Anu Ibiwoye, Rev Cornelius Fawenu, Mr Tunde Ashaolu, Mr Oye Adetula, Hon. C.T. Ayeni and Chief Mrs Ebun Owolabi, the PDP National BoT Member.
