Guber Race: Ladi Hassan solicits party elders’ support

As politicians warm up for 2019 general elections in Kwara State, a gubernatorial aspirant under the People Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Ladi Hassan has solicited support of the party elders over his ambition.

In a visit to the elders caucus of Ilorin East and Ilorin South yesterday, the former chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), urged the party chieftains to support him in his bid to secure governorship ticket in the forthcoming primaries elections.

Hassan stressed he is very qualify in all standard to run for the number one seat in the state following his long experience in politics and in the civil service.

“I have been in government for long enough to have acquired prerequisite knowledge and experience to govern the affairs of the state in a way that everyone will be touched. I am a member of the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, political dynasty and I have the training,” he said.

Hassan, who is was appointed Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Social Development Secretary in 2017 further stated that he will operate all inclusive government if given the mandate to run for the number seat.

He also premised that he will operate an open door policy and as well as ensuring good, strong relationship between his government and the party.
