New Kwara CP resumes

The new Commissioner of Police in Kwara State, Fafowora Bolaji Olaniyi on Wednesday resumed office.

Fafowara took over the leadership of the Kwara State Police Command from Aminu Pai Saleh who has been promoted to Asst. Inspector General of Police and has now been deployed to Lagos State as the Head of Airport Command.

The new CP hails from Ilesha in Osun State, a Political Science graduate of University of Ibadan. He enlisted in the force as a cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police.

Before now, he had served in many strategic capacities, which include Inspector General of Police’s Committee on review of Boko Haram and related matters. He also headed the Anti-Fraud Section of the Special Fraud Unit and one-time deputy Force Secretary, Force Hqtrs Abuja, deputy commissioner of Police (Admin), Benue State Command and Commissioner of Police, Airport Command Lagos.

He has attended many courses both within and outside the country. The new CP is an advocate of community policing.
