“We want to light up the whole campus to abate criminal acts, on this note; the college authority contacted the Senate President, Dr Saraki because he is also concerned with the welfare and security of our students. We thank him for his swift response.

“At the same time, we must commend the Lower Niger River Basin Development Authority. It is through them and the Senate President that we got the poles.”

Yusuf however, appealed to the state government on the payment of 180 per cent of June/July salary of 2017.

“We want to put it on record that the Kwara State Government has paid the June/July salary of our staff. We are left with August, which we believe will be paid, that going by the promise made by the Governor that all arrears will be paid.

“Also, we want to plead with the state government that the N7.5 million National University Commission (NUC) verification fees paid by the college be refunded,” the provost stated.

In a related development, the provost has assured that the face-lift of the institution’s hostel would be completed before the next academic session scheduled for October.

According to him, the renovation will be done under a Public Private Partnership (PPP) arrangement.

“It is after they must have completed the renovation of our hostels that we will now sit down for discussion on the sharing formula.”
