Be prayerful, cleric advises Nigerians

Nigerians have been reminded of the needed to pray without ceasing for the country to experience peace and development.
A Cleric, Reverend Joseph Agboluaje of Second ECWA, Shao gave the advice yesterday in his sermon delivered at the Church.
Speaking on the theme: “Prayer and action; need of the hour in Nigeria,” during a prayer programme tagged “Three hours in His presence for the stability of Nigeria, Kwara and Shao community,” Reverend Agboluaje stressed the importance of backing prayer with action.
According to him, most people fail in life not because they do not pray or aim too high,  but because they pray more but take no action to back up the prayer.
The Cleric bemoaned the fact  that prayer houses dominate every nook and cranny of  communities but godliness is scarce.
He added that people have  forgotten that they have responsibility towards building  a godly and better society.
Reverend Agboluaje was of the view that peace, progress and economic buoyancy may not come if the leaders and followers fail to do the needful
The Cleric, therefore, called on the people to always follow their prayer with action to record the needed progress.
Also in his message titled “A Pilgrim on earth”, Pastor Taiye Aransiola of the United Evangelical Miracle Church Off Yidi Road Ilorin described this World as a temporary place for all human beings,  urging  people to have establish  relationship with God.
Pastor Aransiola charged Nigerians to live a life of holiness and purity day by day as everyone would give account to God on their mission on earth.
He advised Christians to be focus on their work of faith.
Similarly, the Founder of Believers Vineyard Church, Agbo-Oba, llorin, Pastor Akin Obadofin emphasised the need for Nigerians to continue to be their brothers keeper which according to him would sustain a conducive society for all to live in irrespective of their background and  difference.
Pastor Obadofin also enjoined the people in  the corridors of power to seek God’s direction for them to excel in their assignment as God is the Alpha and  Omega.
In his sermon, Pastor Aremu Abioye of the Ark of God Covenant Faith Bible Ministry, Amoyo, Kwara State,  urged Christians to pray fevently for a peaceful environment to facilitate more development across the State.
Prophet Peter Oladipo of the C & S Movement Church, Ipetu-lgbomina in his preaching, advised Nigerians to abide by the commandments of God and respect constituted authority.
On his part, Pastor ldowu Constain of the New Life Holy Trinity Chapel Gaa-Akanbi, Ilorin, spoke extensively on the need for youths to remain focused as future leaders of their communities, state and the nation as a whole, as their today would determine tomorrow.
Also, Pastor Kayode Omotosho of the C A C Anusogo lorimi, Kilanko village, Ilorin who  centred his message on  the theme, “Don’t put your trust in man”, admonished Christians to  rely on God as the only one who would  never fail at all adding that people fail today because they put their trust on men.
