The Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association (IEYDA) held a special prayer for the sons and daughters of the Emirate who were promoted to Professorial and Deputy Registrars rank by the management of the University of Ilorin.
The prayer which was held at the association’s secretariat; Atidade’s house, Ibrahim Taiwo Road, Ilorin on Sunday was led by the National Missioner, Sheikh Muritadoh Otan.
Otan prayed for Allah’s guidance and protection over the new Professors and Deputy Registrars during and after their services in their respective careers.
Sheikh Otan also prayed for peace to continue to reign in the Emirate, the state and the country in general.
Speaking, the National President of IEYDA, Alhaji Abdullahi Salaudeen urged the new appointees to continue to discharge their responsibilities with the fear of Allah and in the interest of the masses.
In his remarks, the National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Mohammed Uthman Jagunma called on the appointees to see their promotion as a call to further serve humanity while urging them to continue to be good ambassadors of Ilorin Emirate for accelerated growth of the state.
Among the 19 sons and daughters of the emirate that were promoted by the management of the institution are; Prof. Shehu Adaramaja, (Human Kinetic Education), Prof. Abdulfatah Olokoba (Medicine), Prof. Alafara Baba(Industrial Chemistry), Prof (Mrs) Nihmat Modupe Abdulraheem and Prof. Ibrahim Yusuf (both Law), Prof. Kajogbola Ajao (Mechanical Engineering), Mallam Kazeem Babamale and Mrs Bilqees Saadu (both Deputy Registrar).
