Aspirant meets Ilorin West PDP, reiterate commitment to Saraki’s ideals

Meanwhile, Hon Razak Atunwa has reiterated his commitment to the ideals of Senate President and National Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki.
Atunwa said this on Monday while addressing party stakeholders in Ilorin West local government area as part of his consultative tour.
Recounting some of the ideals of Saraki such as great sense of duty, patriotism, commitment to building strong institutions, nation building and respect for the rule of law, Atunwa reinstated his commitment to follow the path of the great political leader.
He said Saraki has demonstrated these qualities as Governor and as Senate President.
He said Saraki championed reforms that have positioned Kwara as a major commercial hub in the North Central and Nigeria as a whole.
Party stalwarts, who spoke at the event, commended Atunwa for his renewed commitment to nation building through the tenets of Dr Bukola Saraki.
In his remarks a former Governing Board chairman of Kwara State Polytechnic, Alhaji Saadu Alanamu expressed the readiness of the Ilorin West PDP to work with whoever emerge as the flag bearer of the Party.
Former state woman leader, Alhaja Muslimat Ibrahim (Iya Nkwara) eulogized Atunwa for his consistent loyalty which he has demonstrated over the years, adding that despite his botched governorship bid in 2011, Atunwa has remained committed to the Saraki dynasty.
She noted that his loyalty over the years is a enough reason for him to be allowed to fly the flag of the Party in 2019.
…Ekiti, Irepodun, Oke-Ero, Isin PDP endorse bid
On Wednesday, the leadership of the PDP in Kwara South councils of Ekiti, Oke Ero, Irepodun and Isin all declared their support for the candidacy of Hon. Razak Atunwa.
Atunwa’s campaign team in all the councils visited was accorded resounding reception from party executives and stakeholders alike.
Addressing the Party faithful at the different Party Chapters, Atunwa appreciated the Party members for their enormous goodwill and reassured them of his continued resolve to consolidate previous effort.
He assured the people of his readiness to complete all ongoing projects embarked upon by the present administration.
He also promised the people of his unalloyed loyalty, which he noted will be demonstrated by his unrelenting commitment to their demands and yearnings.
Speaking in Ekiti, Elder Stephen Bamisaye, showered encomiums on Atunwa for his calm disposition and humility all through the years, despite his dignified and exalted position.
He also commended him for his commitment to the leadership of Bukola Saraki subsequently endorsed Atunwa on behalf of PDP in Ekiti for the race.
In Oke-Ero, a leader of the party, Chief Steepen Oni described Atunwa as a man who has demonstrated remarkable humility over the years and the first governorship aspirant to visit Oke-Ero. Atunwa was later endorsed by the PDP executives and stakeholders ahead of the primaries.
In Omu Aran, former Kwara State House of Assembly member, Hon. David Bamidele, who spoke on behalf of the Party executives and stakeholders commended Atunwa for his sincerity of purpose over the years.
Irepodun PDP chairman, Saheed Oyelowo, declared public support on behalf of the Party executives and stakeholders for Atunwa’s bid.
In Isin, former Kwara state Deputy Governor, Chief Joel Ogundeji, who spoke on behalf of the Isin PDP executives and stakeholders noted that he worked with Atunwa for 8 years, describing him as dependable and dedicated.
Ogundeji, subsequently declared the support of the Isin PDP executives and stakeholders for Atunwa’s candidacy.
