NGO distributes food items to entrepreneurs in Ilorin

An Ilorin -based Non Governmental Organisation,Tamirah Wellbeing Initiative on Sunday distributed food items and other palliatives to small business owners.
The initiative is meant to alleviate sufferings of entrepreneurs whose economy has been affected by COVID-19 pandemic.
The NGO distributed the items to beneficiaries at the Kwara State Stadium Complex, Ilorin.
Speaking at the event, the Founder of the NGO, Mrs Rukayat Yahaya said the beneficiaries of the gesture were selected through the online database created for the purpose, noting that over 1,000 small business owners registered for the pet project.
Yahaya who is also the CEO of Tamirah Fabrics and Tamirah Digital, further said that the first 100 entrepreneurs benefited in the first phase of the distribution exercise, pointing out that the remaining four hundred beneficiaries will be captured in subsequent batches .
She applauded those who donated to the project home and abroad particularly Senator Rafiu Ibrahim,
imploring government at all levels to also support and key in into the project in order to capture more beneficiaries.
Food items including Rice, Spaghetti, Indomie and groundnut oil worth were distributed to beneficiaries in the first phase of the project.
