These sibmissions remind me of many life’s situations and events, especially mine and our upbringing, our parents’ sayings that tutelages and so also their life’s calls will never go un-answered.
Wonders shall never end, so the saying goes. I stand with Senator Ovie Omo Agege, a senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District at the Nigerian senate. He, with his hefty parabolic chest men and mafia looking thugs entered the National Assembly complex to steal the mace, the symbol of authority of any elected parliament, without any confrontation from any of the over a hundred security agents, the Senator and his boys took the symbol of authority without any qualm ….what a shame?
‘Warri no dey carry last’ trust me, it is a slogan popular among Deltans, Nigerians and it is well known all over the world.
Now, the tide has turned, and what is trending is another Omo Agege twit, “I am in my house, let Adams Oshiomole and his men come and arrest me. It’s laughable to see same people who eulogised me when I tackled Senator Bukola Saraki are now the same people calling for my arrest simply because I am fighting for my right”, —Senator Ovie Omo Agege daring the national leadership of All Progressives Congress (APC) of Adams Oshiomhole as its national chairman, and President Muhammadu Buhari’s-led government, but crying dear Senator Omo Agege, Bukola Saraki too had their many crosses to bear, they all did ask and to attack them, you were hired into the mace snatching saga.
“Bomb Shell: Mace kidnapper described APC led government as fake integrity …asked Oshiomole to learn more about leadership” was a nice piece of headline as casted by a news medium, laughable don’t you think?
“Breaking: APC Expels Omo-Agege, Asks Police, DSS To Arrest Him, was another major headline – “the latest of such activities related to the hijack of primaries panel members and materials sent from the national secretariat to conduct primaries in the state and deploying same to conduct unauthorised parallel primaries,” the party stated…quoting SaharaReporters, Oct 03, 2018.
The Delta State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) led by Cyril Abeye Ogodo hammered with all its weight expelled Ovie Omo-Agege, the Delta Central Senatorial District senator, a factional senatorial candidate for the 2019 general election.
The State Working Committee (SWC) in Asaba rose from an emergency meeting and said its decision to expel Omo Agege from the party followed the “unabated involvement in anti-party activities”, the statement titled ‘Delta APC Expels Senator Ovie Omo-Agege’, signed by the party’s Legal Adviser, Dennis Nwanokwai Esq, posted on social media and obtained by newsmen, noted that the senator’s expulsion is with immediate effect…with no free and fair hearing, but Omo-Agege apologists promptly reacted.
“The latest of such activities relate to the hijack of primaries panel members and materials sent from the national secretariat to conduct primaries in the state and deploying same to conduct unauthorised parallel primaries,” the party stated and nailed its one-timed faithful and illustrious member.
“[Others are] the manipulation and tampering of delegates’ lists and the use of thugs to harass and deprive authentic delegates from access to primaries venues, all that in conjunction with Prophet Jones Erue and others who have earlier been expelled from our party. “The expulsion of Senator Ovie Omo-Agege is with immediate effect. The SWC also resolved to petition the security services, including the Police and DSS to arrest and prosecute Senator Omo-Agege, Prophet Jones Erue and others for impersonation and other actions calculated to breach public peace”…
Olushola Olufolabi @olushola_shola thinks “he Omo agege is just a thug, lacks decorum and scruples to be a Distinguished Senator…. of course he got away with desecrating the hallowed chambers with the support and protection of the chief desecrator himself the lifeless one …..So what won’t he dare?!
It was however learned that the Ogboru/Omo-Agege faction of the APC led by Jones Erue had also slammed the state leader of the party and the 2015 Delta State governorship candidate of the party, and the party’s senatorial candidate in the 2019 general elections, O’tega Emerhor, with expulsion over same offence for which Omo-Agege was thrown out of the party.
When a friend, Somto Onuchukwu @chosensomto said “Omo Agege, the Mace snatcher has been expelled from APC, apparently he also snatched APC primaries election materials in Delta state”… but Oh My God! not funny at all, he, Omo Agege never qualified to represent his party at the next year’s general election….what a disaster with all his covert jobs for APC.
Adewumi adekunle j @john_adewumi said “the god of mace is fighting back…. Senator Omo agege you can only run but you can’t hide, while KingRay @SonOfGodRay07 said “See this mumu APC people. Omo Agege that you people turned to your thug and then dumped him, how did your present national chairman come into power? Stop fooling yourselves APC.
Idee’? @Uzoh13 said “you just don’t have shame and also forget this Buhari govt will finish someday, worst case 2023 then you will come down from your high horse. One wonders why you now speak for Buhari, APC & FG instead of Shehu, Femi or Lai Mohammed, see your brother Sen. Omo Agege’s fate.#
Expelling Omo Agege is just a placebo but not a cure; some things are only worth what people are willing and ready to pay for it.
I will say, never rob your own bank this is the very first rule in gangsters’ world, “Is this the way to pay back a loyal party man? This is not the APC we all dreamed about. –Sen. Omo Agege twitted.
My position in all these is that APC leadership should just enjoy what it can now before the peoples’ judgement sets in, after all, they allowed same snatching in Osun’s election. We all know the natural law of karma is that what goes round always comes around, payback time is near. Nigerians should be ready to make the right choice; we now know what APC represents. Ciao
